Astigmatism is a very common eye condition that causes blurry vision at any distance, most people have it on some level and it usually happens because of irregular curve in the cornea.
Normal eyes usually have round shape so when light enters, it refracts evenly and focuses on the retina at the back of the eye which makes us see clearly. Eyes with Corneal Astigmatism are usually shaped more like an egg or a back of a spoon; when light enters, it refracts unevenly in one direction
more than the other, so it does not focus correctly on the retina; that makes
only part of the object in focus which leads to blurry and wavy vision at any
There is another type of Astigmatism, Lenticular Astigmatism, in which the
lens imperfections prevent images from reaching the retina correctly.
People may have one type of Astigmatism or may have them both.
Astigmatism usually comes along with Nearsightedness and
Farsightedness and most probably is inherited in the family eye medical
Astigmatism symptoms may look like other eyes conditions symptoms, only

astigmatism as they are very safe and convenient, and people with slight
Astigmatism may not even need them if they don’t have another eye
Some people may go for surgery correcting some types of Astigmatism
using laser, as it provides them a long term solution depending on the
